Flower #3 - Edition of 10

Representations of flowers – including my own designs – are often about symmetry and order. We use pictures to hold their fleeting beauty in place. But flowers also have an anarchic, untameable side, and that’s what I was trying to capture with this design. In the calm order of our homes, cut flowers keep quietly telling us to be wild.

Technique: Glazed colors on glazed tiles.

Tile size: 13x13cm.

Complete size: 39x26cm.
