The Nude Collection

I've always been fascinated by the nude form in art. I love its many possibilities, from the charcoal life drawings of Youssef Abdelké to the photography of Ren Hang and Araki. For my first collection, I wanted to make my own contribution to that tradition. 

In the context of Middle Eastern art – specifically the tradition of highly ornamental, pattern-based tile murals – nudes carry transgressive power. Still to this day, art students in Damascus don't get to draw from nude models. So I enjoyed that bit of transgression in these tile paintings.

Size

About the size of a film poster, our statement hand-painted tile murals are intended as striking centre-pieces. They are suitable for mounting and hanging like a (quite heavy) painting, or better still, being installed permanently in a bathroom or entrance hallway.
